WHEREAS museums normally dwell on the past, London Transport Museum in Covent Garden is currently staging an exhibition of important future developments. Many of these concern the Underground railways and the projected Docklands light railway but a major innovation is a buscontrol scheme in which computerised information is displayed on screens in drivers' cabsl Visitors themselves can change the displays.
Passengers hope that this device will ensure that the bus is going to the place denoted on the destination blind.
