PENDING ten per cent less on new roads would provide enough ash to boost Scotland's public transport system, a report claims. The Scottish Association for Public Transport report says that for any years there have been "serious imbalances" in the appraisal f road expenditure compared with public transport projects.
They warn that reform is urgently needed to reverse the decline in le use of public transport, as there are threats of widespread cloures to rail routes and bus services.
