THE RENWICKS Freight Group has returned a slight profit for 1982.
Although the Group financial figures are being compiled now, Peter Shannon, company sales development manager, told CM that the consistent losses encountered over the years had been made good since the takeover by Dutch private investment company IVM Intersurer (CM, October 3, 1981).
Aiding its financial recovery is a new contract with Goodlass Walls of Liverpool to deliver Valspar paints.
The contract covers London and South East Counties and the Midlands. It involves general distribution and the work will be absorbed by its general distribution fleet.
The London and South East Counties contract will operate from Renwicksr Greenwich depot in London. It will have day-today responsibility for the warehousing of all Valspar stock and will carry out order picking, load assembly and distribution, all of which will be controlled by a computer at Goodlass Wall's headquarters in Speke, Liverpool.
