London but recently one or two loads have had to go by way of the Thames tunnels. We seem to have encountered two different sets of regulations for different tunnels; can you tell us whether this has been the case for some long time?
AThere are discrepancies between the by
laws covering the Blackwell and Botherhithe Tunnels under the Thames. Action is being taken to bring the by-laws into line, but meanwhile leaflets concerning the carriage of inflammable loads and explosives through each of the tunnels can be obtained from the Information Centre, Greater London Council, County Hall, London SE1. The by-laws can also be obtained from this address.
