Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THIS bogie (above and right) is fitted with power steering and it is claimed that in a test carried out by the makers recently a saving of 80 per cent in time over the conventional hand-operated types was made. The test took place carrying a 47 ft.-long beam weighing 35 tons over a route including many narrow streets and sharp corners.

The power unit comprises a small petrol engine which drives a hydraulic pump and is controlled by a single lever duplicated at each side of the bogie. For ease of maintenance the unit can be removed from the bogie by releasing one thumb-screw, when the whole can be lifted off as a complete entity. The mar folding step covers the access aperture and acts also as a marker. The unit is designed, manufactured and marketed by Sparrows Engineering and Equipment Ltd.. of Box, Wiltshire.
