Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWENTY-SIX-YEAR-OLD _Edward 13rzozowski,a Polish driver who works for L.S.D. (Haulage) Ltd., ofGunness, became the Perkins Drivers' Club "Member of the Year" last Saturday when he won the national competition which attracted 500 entrants. This entitled him to a " double " holiday trip to Paris.

Written tests based largely on the highway code preceded the driving tests, which took place at W. Banks' farm at Crowland. near Peterborough.

Edward's success in competition with 23 top professional drivers, is the more remarkable in view of the six years he spent in a Siberian Labour Camp. He could not speak a word of English when he came to England in 1957 and had to learn the language to pass the driving test. Normally, Edward drives a 14-ton Perkins-engined Dodge artic on longdistance work, but on the test he drove a Perkins-powered Commer platform truck.

Inc runner-up, winning £25, was Alan Bullock, of Malvern Link, a Metal Box Co. driver. Third prize, of £10, was won by George Good, an ICI driver, of Ragworth, Stockton on Tees.
