THE Minister of Transport has set up a new Scottish Transport Users' Consultative Committee which will serve until January 31, 1957. The chairman is Sir John Erskine, and members are as follows:—

The West Midland Transport Users' Consultative Committee have been reconstituted to serve until March 31.

£1 TO SEE MOTOR SHOW
ADMISS1ON charges for the Motor Show at Earls Court from October 20-30 will be higher than last year, with the object, state the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, of "improving the amenities and the general comfort of visitors."
The charges will be £1 before 5 p.m. and 10s. afterwards on the opening day and Tuesday of the second week; 5s. before 5 p.m. and 2s. 6d. afterwards on all other days. The previous scale was 10s. on opening day up to 5 p.m. and 2s. 6d. later; all other days except Saturday 5s. before 5 p.m. and 2s. 6d. afterwards; and Saturdays 2s. 6d.
NEWPORT BUILDS OWN BODIES QIX double-deckers have been fitted 1.-; with new all-metal bodies by Newport Transport Department. The chassis have been completely reconditioned in the undertaking's workshops. It is estimated that £1,500-£1,800 has been saved per vehicle, as compared with purchasing new ones.
MINISTER TO OPEN STATION THE Minister of Transport, Mr. A. T. Lennox-Boyd, M.P., will formally open the King's Cross Coach Station, 'Pentonville Road, London, N.1, next Thursday.
