A driver has admitted falling asleep before his truck ploughed into a van on the M25 motorway, killing a man and badly injuring another.
George Norman, who was employed by TJ Hunt of Worplesdon, near Guildford, drove straight into a pickup parked on the hard shoulder of the M25 near Junction 8 on 11 July last year.
The force of the impact threw the van into the air and spun it round 180", killing motorway maintenance worker David Ward, 57, who was sitting in the passenger seat.
At the Old Bailey last week Norman pleaded guilt charge of causing de; dangerous driving.
