Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Dutch trailer builder D-tec Trailerbouw is developing a curtainsider version of its spaceframe Ultralight pallet trailer.

D-tec's curtainsider should be completed late autumn. It is rated at 40 tonnes and is expected to tare out at 5,200kg.

The pallet carrier, which was first seen at the Amsterdam RAI show in February, has an unusual latticed galvanised support frame under the load plat form aft of a conventional neck. Weweller's air-spring mountings are integrated into the lower structure.

At the front the 450mm-high wall folds flat, enabling two more Ultralights to be stacked neatly aboard a third.

The design was drawn up with ferry work in mind and cuts the unladen weight to 4,180kg to accommodate 27tonne payloads.

So far more than 100 Ultralights are operating from Holland and the Dutch TDG group is taking another 15 for pallet transfer.

Adams Morey of Southampton is the first appointed UK trailer sales agent but D-tec is also looking for others, including a bodybuilder.
