• I .ancashire Foden service dealer NL Walling of Broughton has built a versatile coach or truck recovery vehicle that can also carry large loads using a demountable flat body, and can even handle heavy haulage work up to 80 tonnes thanks to a quick-fit fifth-wheel assembly.
Wallings' Intimidator is based on a 317kW (425hp) Cat-engined 5.65m Foden 8 x 4 rigid chassis with three-quarter length flitching and boxsection sub-frame. It has a 443N Effer crane set behind the sleeper cab: load ratings range from 3.9 tonnes at '10.81m to 15 tonnes at 2.45m.
An extra set of powered stabiliser legs are fitted ahead of the rear bogie.
