THE annual conference of the Institute of Public Cleansing will be held at Harrogate from June 10-13. Among the papers to be read are "Progress in Refuse-collection Vehicle Design," by W. Carmichael, "Methods of Collection and Bin Provision," by A. E. Barton, and "Mechanical Aids," by L. Norman Holt (to be presented on June 12); also "The Organization and Employment of Street-cleansing Equipment," by G. F. Mellor, and "Distant Disposal of Towns' Refuse," by W. H. Price (to be read on June 13).
Other items in the programme are a vehicle demonstration and inspection on June 11.
