A NEW SCOTTISH warehousing and distribution business starts trading next month from premises on Glasgow's outskirts.
Bruce Barrie, whose family has long been associated with the Scottish haulage industry and one-time Freightliners executive Adam Duncan have established Barrie and Duncan Freight Distribution with headquarters at Hillington Industrial Estate, outside Glasgow.
Some 50,000sqft of warehousing has been rented from the Scottish Development Agency, and the company is aiming its efforts at the warehousing, distribution, local and long distance haulage markets. It already has an agency for Tor Line, and will channel its freight through Immingham.
