The exhibition opens on March 28 and runs to April 1 at the new Wembley Conference. Centre, London. Exhibits will range from trolley jacks and spanners to gold plated steering wheels.

UK goes US

BRITISH exhibitors will form • the largest contingent of foreign companies at the American Society of Automotive Engineers annual show in Detroit next week.

Equipment on show from British companies will include. transmissions, axles, electricala equipment and castings. The show is said to be the most important original equipment display in the world.

Depot move

CRANE FRUEHAUF Ltd will be moving into a 20,000sqft purpose designed factory at the Warrington New Town Grange employment area later in the year.

The development will house Crane Fruehauf Service Ltd. and Crane Fruehauf Parts Ltd; two CF subsidiary companies.'

It will be used for the assembly of truck equipment and as a service and repair, depot.

Jeddah groupage

A NEW groupage container service to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia has been started by Alltrans Express. The new service runs from depots at 'Cardiff, Felixstowe, Salford, Smeth= wick, Botley (Hants) and East London.

IN the February 11 issue of CM, the headline over a story about Durham haulier John Scott and Son read "£2,990 the price of overloading". The total in fines and costs paid by the company and five of its drivers should have read £1,990.
