AFLEET of more than 100 Leyland Atlantean rear-engined double-deckers will be operated by Bolton Corporation Transport by 1969, following the acceptance by the transport committee of a tender for another 30 chassis of this make.
The new buses will again have bodies by East Lancashire Coach Builders Ltd., and will be similar to the vehicle illustrated in our issue of January 14.
Half of the new fleet is due for delivery during the year ending March 31, 1968, and the remainder during the year ending March 31, 1969.
