Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Had enough of serious truck sims / Big Mutha Truckers, as you might guess from the name, takes a less reverent approach to road safety. Launched earlier this year, it's guaranteed to bring the haulage hooligan out in you.

You play one of Ma Jackson's four offspring, competing with your siblings to earn as much money as you can in a limited time in order to prove to Ma that you're the best person to take over the reins. As Ma herself says as she sends you out:-Ah don't gives a jackal's tackles how ya duz it!" Just like your typical transport manager.

Whichever of the four you choose to be toothless Cletus, rotund Earl, ultra-cool Rawkus or stick-insect Bobby Sue you start with a full load to sell and a set amount in your account. After that, it's up to you to buy low and sell high wherever you go.

Driving is chaotic,to say the least. The slightest twitch tends to send your semitrailer sliding hopelessly from side to side. and any kind of impact with scenery or other traffic (and you're going to have a lot of those) tends to send you completely out of control. Rather than struggling to avoid collisions (what's wrong with you? ),make them collisions of your choosing and stay pointing the way you want to go. It's all great fun, and rewarding too with cash awards for inventive driving and inflicting damage.

Bash a police car, however, and you're on the wanted list. But you can shake off the cops if you drive wildly enough. or even take them out them with a few well-placed hits.

Bikers have to be treated with rather more caution: upset them and they'll chase you, blasting you with shotguns and climbing onto your trailer to disconnect it from your tractor. Shake them off or you'll lose your trailer and load, which is a bit of a blow if all your money's invested in it.

Just to add spice (and cash). you'll frequently get challenges from other truckers to race to the next destination. And when you get to your destination there's always a cash bonus on offer for parking quickly.

Every city there are live in allhas a store for trading goods,a garage for fuel, repairs and upgrades, a bar, tips on which goods to trade and offers of a loan. Loans come with varying rates borrowing $100.000 at 125% over four days didn't seem like a good idea. The bar even has a fruit machine, though you won't win much.

You can choose between flatbeds, reefers and tankers and the loads change accordingly, as does supply and demand for various goods across the cities.

If the sound of crunching metal every three yards isn't enough to keep you amused there's a good selection of radio channels to listen to while you're on the road with music from Deep Purple. Steppenwolf and Elmore James (who needs country?) ...there are even chat channels.

Big Mutha Truckers is a well-put-together if none-too-serious package. and although it doesn't pretend to offer the sophistication of a serious trucking simulation it's an absolutely smashing game in every sense of the word.
