Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A QUICK-THIN KING tanker driver has been praised by police for saving the life of a man trapped under his car in a ditch.

Richard Linley spotted a car off the A168 near Thirsk, North Yorks just after he had picked up his tanker from being serviced. He says: "I couldn't see if there was anyone in the car but there was no Police Aware' sign so I thought it was best to tell them it was there."

It was lucky for Darryl Curtis that he did so, because the 24-yearold had been pinned under the car for 10 hours after coming off the road at midnight. Curtis phoned Linley to thank him after the two were put in touch by CM.

A police spokeswoman says Curtis could have died if he had been left any longer. As it was a specialist team was called in by air ambulance to deal with possible toxic shock after his trapped arm was freed.

Curtis. who was taken to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough, needed skin grafts but is now recovering at his home near Doncaster. "I'm extremely grateful to the lorry driver," he says.

Linley, who works for Stiller on a contract for Petroplus. says he knows of two other drivers who spotted Curtis's car before he did but failed to ring police because they assumed it had already been reported. "l'm just glad that this bloke is all right," he adds.
