ROSEMARY DAY, assistant director-general at the Greater London Council, is to join London Transport for two years as director of administration.
LT's chief secretary Eric Ellen and chief solicitor Jack Moorfoot are retiring and so these services will be reorganised. Mrs Day will have responsibility for much of this work.
Her specific responsibilities will include the integration of these services and other central offices involved in administration in support of the main board.
She joined the GLC in 1964 and became an assistant director general in 1979, with special responsibility for transport, planning, industry and employment.
