TAYSIDE Region has confirmed in West, Dundee is satisfactory for facilities in the city.
The privately-operated lorry park at Gourdie Industrial Estate is to be leased from the district council by Tayside Tachograph. principle that a site at Kingsway the relocation of lorry parking The site would be easily accessible to most heavy vehicles passing through the city and access would be by Myrekirk Road and Smeaton Road.
There would be space for 100 lorries and overspill space is available.
The Scottish Development Agency has appointed architects to carry out preliminary design work on an amenity block to be provided by the operator, which could include sleeping accommodation, washing and toilet and catering facilities.
