Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

STOBART GROUP IS boosting its warehousing portfolio after applying to develop more than 1millionft2 of shed space in Widnes.

The haulage company has already developed a 500,000ft2 depot for Tesco as part of the Mersey Multimodal Gateway, of which it is a development partner, but its latest application to Halton Borough Council vastly increases its portfolio and would allow it to manage storage needs on behalf of third parties.

“It’s a development site, not necessarily to be used for Stobart storage and distribution,” says a spokesman. “The idea is that external parties would come and buy warehousing at the park and we develop it for them.

“There are also plans for a new office block, which could form a useful corporate space for the Stobart Group business.”
