Thave just been fined for ltachograph offences: my trade association said the particular tacho card used to prosecute me showed I was illegal although it based these findings on information I gave on the phone. I read up

the law as much as I could, but I admit that even then I was not sure of my case.

I consulted a leading transport lawyer and he was sure that no offence had been committed. However, the court found me guilty

If this is so—how I am supposed to know if the lawyer doesn't?

And despite what various "transport experts" say, the police can do as they please and enter your cab without either your knowledge or permission. Please be warned.
