Coachwork Conversions of Cohie, Lancashire and B Walker of Markyate, Hertfordshire will make 5,000 jig-built vans, dropside trucks, mobile workshops, minibuses and Tnickman Top canopies for pickups each year under the name Coachwork Walker. Sales will be 27 million, they claim.
John Muschamp becomes managing director; Chris Praat is product development director; and Michael Muschamp is commercial director. The company will be run from the partners' former premises in Colne and Markyate, with Coachwork acquiring the costs of Walker.
Coachwork says the merger will combine its skill in making commercial vehicle bodies with Walker's PSV expertise.
