• German driver Hans George de Marwitz dominated last weekend's Silverstone truck racing meeting. His Century Oils MAN 19.292 won the ATS Supertrucks Trophy after a long, hard-fought duel with Sweden's Curt Goransson in the bonnetted Volvo N12.
The most dramatic incident of the weekend came with George Allen and Richard Walker crashing on Club Corner after Allen skidded sideways across the grass trying to get an inside line on Slim Borgudd. Allen lost control and slammed back across the truck forcing Walker to thump the Armco barrier hard enough to rip the rear axle clean out of his Kenworth racer.
