• London Transport's Kingston Buses has opened a new commercial service between Kingston and Staines. Marketed as Kingfisher, it runs half-hourly on weekdays and uses eight buses on a route serving Thames Ditton, Hamp ton Court, East and West Molesey, Walton, Weybridge, Addlestone and Thorpe Park. Parts of the route compete with London Country South West, which has registered extra journeys between Addlestone and Staines.
