NEW DIRECT road services for cargo between the UK and France have just begun in a joint scheme set up by British freight forwarder Davies Turner in an exclusive link with the French company, Etic International.
Export cargo is to be consolidated at Davies Turner's eight UK branches for groupage services which cover the whole of France, although the Paris area is the largest single destination.
Etic's main depot is at Gennevilliers on the outskirts of Paris, and it handles customs clearance and routing of loads in France.
