Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A MAJOR restructuring at SPD Group, the transport and distribution company owned by Unilever, has resulted in the appointment of a new board of directors.

John Davies and Arthur Pinder join the board of the newly unified company as, respectively, operations director and sales and marketing director. They were previously managing directors of SPD's Carrycare and contracts and trading divisions. John Harvey, David Amos and David Jeffrey retain their former status as managing director, personnel director and sales and marketing director.

Other senior non-board appointments include Hywel Da vies as sales director responsible for retailing clients. lain Nesbit as sales director for manufacturing customers, and Frank Hawes as planning and development manager. All previously had management positions within the group.

Under the reorganisation individual business units are being integrated into a single company, although existing trading names will be kept.
