After listening to Richard (now Sir Richard) Marsh, then a Labour Minister of Transport, address a meeting of hauliers in Westminster, I commented that he was much funnier than many professional comedians and was nice enough to be a Conservative. I am delighted to hear that, while retaining his amateur status as a humorist, he is to vote Tory at .the next election. That shows he is a professional realist.
