Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE latest Pyrene crash tender, based on the Thornycroft Nubian fourwheel-drive chassis and manufactured by the Pyrene Co., Ltd., 9, Grosvenor Gardens, S.W.1, has an improved pump driven by a power-take-off.

This self-contained appliance is capable of delivering 3,500 gallons of foam and 2,400 cubic ft. of CO, in about lf mins. It can be brought into action within 9 secs, of the arrival of the vehicle on the scene of the fire. In the body are carried 500 gallons of water and 60 gallons of Pyrene foammaking compound; when an auxiliary water tender is provided, this quantity of foam-making compound is capable of creating a total of 9,100 gallons of foam.

The foam is produced by two mechanical foam generators, each delivering 1.250 gallons a minute. They ire permanently connected to the pump, which derives water from the tank and delivers it at a rate of 380 gallons a minute at a pressure of 150 lb. per sq. in. Each generator is also connected to 80 ft. of 4-in, hose fitted with a foam nozzle.

Both hoses and nozzles are carried in boxes alongside the radiator. Two B6 further hose reels discharge the CO, carried in six 50-lb. cylinders. The elimination of the separate power unit, formerly required for the pump, much extends the value of the appliance. Simple to operate and able to tackle any kind of terrain, the vehicle can arrive promptly at the scene of a crash fire and rapidly commence delivery of foam and CO,.
