• Rochdale Magistrates have fined Primestock (Manchester) £300 for a gross weight overload, and the driver of the vehicle, David Frankle, £100. Frankle wrote to say he expected to lose his job because of the new eyesight regulations. Both company and driver were ordered to pay £50 costs.
