Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• GKN Chep is suing the

6 6 receivers of

Rockwood Distribution over an alleged debt of more than Lim for the hire of pallets.

The High Court writ claims £1,006,544 from receivers Michael Jordan and John Powell. It says that the two took responsibility for the pallets on 6 July 1990 when they were appointed administrative receivers of Rockwood and on 27 July they agreed to pay 2.7p per pallet per day.

GKN claims that on 16 February this year it wrote to the receivers asking them to return all the hired pallets by 20 March. The writ says this was not done and alleges the receivers then became liable for more than £500,000.
