• BRS managing director Steve Abel has urged operators to implement Green strategies which result in "significant cost savings". Speaking at the Scottish RHA conference, he added that every "1% saving on fuel costs added £380,000 to BRS's bottom line".
Top transporter III United Transport Tankers has been awarded the title Haulier of the Year for 1990 by Exxon Chemicals for the quality of its services.
