an agreed offer for Rentco International, the European trailer rental subsidiary of the Fruehauf Corporation.
Details of the sale are still being negotiated and Rentco (UK) managing director John Donnelly says completion of the sale is likely to be, "much further away than within the month."
Rentco management will be assisted in the buyout by Electra Candover Partners and Standard Chartered Bank.
The company, Rentco International, will be based in London with John Midlane as managing director.
EJ The announcement of the proposed sale of Rentco International comes just three weeks after Rentco USA managers bought their company from Fruehauf Corporation.
