Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• In what could be the final fleet contract for 3.5-tonne gross weight Iveco Daily chassis, Trent Regional Health Authority has ordered 40 ambulances based on the Iveco Ford 35.8.

In the wake of the Ford/1veco deal, the up-to-3.5 tonne gross weight market will be covered by the Ford Transit range, with the higher gross weight market reserved for Iveco Ford vehicles. The 3.5tonne Daily will therefore be withdrawn from the UK market: the 40 Trent vehicles have been drawn from the remaining dealer stocks of 3.5 tonne Days. The chassis is the 35.8 model with the 2,445cc naturally-aspirated diesel engine, which delivers 52kW (69hp) at 4,200rpm.

The gearbox is the five speed all-synchromesh unit and the suspension is independent torsion bar at the front, with semi-elliptic leaf springs at the rear.

The 'sitting case' ambulances have clear windows and a Taurus body with one-third rear doors and fold-down steps.

The vehicles will be used in Derby, Lincoln, Nottingham and Leicester.

Leicester currently has a turbocharged Wee° Ford emergency ambulance on trial.
