THE OUTCOME of the referendum on Britain's membership of the Common Market may well affect the dates of the deadlines for the fitment of tachographs, Mr Fred Mulley, Minister for Transport said last week. Mr Mulley was paying his first visit to the Leyland National bus plant at Workington, Cumberland.
Mr Mulley, who refused to commit himself on the question of increased vehicle weights, said that he was sorry city bus operators were turning to double-deckers and not purchasing more LNs.
