Week to raise profile of fork-lift truck safety

NEXT WEEK IS National Fork Lift Truck Safety week. Apparently, September is the most dangerous month for fork-lift truck accidents.

The number of fork-lift truck-related deaths doubles this month, and drivers are most at risk, says the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA).

FLTA chief executive David Ellison, says: "Please help us to save lives and reduce injuries, and encourage pedestrians and operators to look out for each other."

National Fork Lift Safety Week was launched in 2008 SININIMossollowl•- in order to raise awareness of the dangers of working near fork-lift trucks, and the importance of measures to make fork-lift operations as safe and efficient as possible.
