Heathrow Trucks on the expansion trail

DAF TRUCKS DEALER Heathrow Truck Centre [HTC] has bought two DAF sales and servicing dealerships from the Barnes Group for an undisclosed sum.

The sites at Oxford and Reading increase the HTC portfolio to five, with Heathrow, Park Royal and Luton, covering west London and Berkshire.

The deal also means HTC's workforce will grow from 126 to 210. Paul Irving, managing director, says the acquisition fits perfectly with its existing DAF franchises.

The site located in Oxford will have sales added to its servicing provision in order to bring it into line with the Reading dealership, Irving reveals, HTC was previously owned by Paccar, but was bought by Ballyvesey Holdings, which is based in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, 18 months ago for an undisclosed figure. ?
