Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Bedford's Dunstable trucks plant could be sold to off-road vehicles specialist David Brown. Brown, whose group includes Multidrive and the articulated off-highwaydumper company Artix, is said to be in "detailed negotiations"with Bedford over the sale. Brown envisages keeping on the entire Bedford workforce of more than 1,100 people, and keeping the existing Bedford military M and TM trucks in production. He also plans to develop new truck models for the military and export markets. Brown started the original DJB company in 1972, and now builds the articulated dumpers for the American Caterpillar organisation.
