Borgudd won both his power class heats at Sweden's Mantorp Park. In Denmark, bad weather hampered him on the first top-power heat, leaving him in fifth place behind Heinz Dehnhardt, but in the second heat Borgudd powered to victory to give him an unassailable lead in this year's championship. o Britain's first long-distance truck race is due to take place at Brands Hatch on 3-4 October. The Big Rig Enduro Race will take place over 40 laps of the 1.9km Indy Circuit. Truck racers such as 1987 European champion Slim Borgudd, George Allen, Rod Chapman, and Mike Smith are expected to take part.
