there may be severe delays on the M56 from this Friday, when repairs are carried out on the southbound carriageway between Junctions 4 and 6.
The work will particularly affect traffic travelling to and from Junction 5, which is the link road for Manchester Airport. For most of the 10 weeks that the work is expected to take, traffic will not be able to join the motorway at Junction 5.
