• Resurfacing work on the M74 in Scotland could cause delays between Junctions 6 and 7, warns the AA. The northbound carriageway is closed completely; contrallow is operating on the southbound carriageway.
Northbound traffic will find the access at Junction 7 closed, as is the exit slip road at Junction 6. The work is due for completion by mid-October.
