• Five more training centres have been established to provide courses under the national (dangerous substances) driver training scheme. New regulations require that all drivers responsible for transporting packaged, dangerous substances must receive formal training before April 1988. The courses are nm by the Road Transport Industry Training Board, at Capitol House, Empire Way, Wembley HA9 ONG.
The new centres, approved to administer both Hazfreight and Hazpak training courses, are in Runcorn (0985 72067), Leeds (0532 571701), Middlesborough (0642 222821), Coatbridge (0236 26171), Batley (0924 478235), Stowmarket (0449 766473), Maidstone (0622 63475), and Kingswinford (0384 401199).
