A FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE Datsun one-ton pick-up goes on sale this month.
It takes the Z-Series 2.2-litre overhead camshaft engine rated at 71.63kW (96bhp) already used in the Nissan Cabstar pickup and drives through a fivespeed gearbox and on through the same transfer box as used on the upmarket Patrol 4x4.
Free rolling
For normal road conditions the front wheels are free rolling but the hubs can be locked from within the cab using the secondary gear lever.
The pick-up's overall length is 4.75m (15ft 7in) and its load platform length is 1.87m (6ft11/2in).
Standard equipment of a radio, hinged rear quarter windows and 6.70R-15 tyres are included for a basic £5,720.
