More stringent control of axle loads on vehicles operating under Special Types Order led PHH to specify the Transquip-Rydewell bogie package.
The company has, until now, operated tandem-axled units with conventional walkingbeam suspension.
Rydewell claims that the suspension gives perfect load equalisation between the three axles even over severe humps and dips.
