TANKER DRIVERS at Ellesmere Port are calling for a national referendum on the future of the tachograph.
This move follows a strike by 1,000 drivers at Ellesmere Port last week.
• Transport and General Workers' Union branch chairman, Mr Arthur Denton, told CM this week that the drivers would now seek a national referendum to settle the issue once and for all. "We will take the result as binding which ever way it goes," he said.
