I must dispense with the services of one of my drivers. Can you say how long he must have been in my
employ to qualify for thf employee's rights under thE new labour relations legislation.
ATo come within the scopi of the new legislation, ar employee must have been no less than 26 weeks in contin uous employment with you. HE must have worked for not les: than 21 hours a week or, if hi has been employed by you fo five years or more, not less that eight hours.
An employee reaching tho normal retirement age of 6E would be excluded.
