Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

in transit insurance cover to include CMR conditions. As I do not operate to the Continent, can you say why this is necessary?

It is possible unwittingly to accept goods for transport which remain under CMR conditions till delivered to final destination. It is, therefore, prudent to include cover for this in your goods in transit policy.

Liability for loss or damage to goods subject to CMF? conditions is based on the current market value of the goods up to a limit of 25 gold francs per kilo (equivalent to about 0,500 per ton and fluctuating in relation to the value of the E. sterling) compensation for delay and carriage and customs charges may also be incurred.

From this you can see that your liability under CMR would be far higher than under the normal UK conditions of carriage covered by the usual goods in Transit premium.
