Using the adjustable controls available on all lines, the air pressure in the brake line can be gradually increased until the trailer brakes are adjusted to operate simultaneously. Also the possibility of a faulty tractive unit effecting the operation of the trailer brakes when being tested can be ruled out.

Anti-freeze

I may have given the impression (CM August 20) that Shellsafe and Snowdrift were the only anti-freezes available that could be used all the year round. In fact Duckhams Oil has produced a year-round anti-freeze for commercial vehicle use for three years. The Duckhams solution is glycol-based and incorporates an inhibitor. As with the Shellsafe and Snowdrift 25 per cent dilution is recommended.
