Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• An application by Advanced Luxury Coaches, of Goole. for a new express licence to operate a works service between Fish Lake, York, and the Lin Pac factory, Rawcliffe Bridge, was granted by the chairman of the Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners, Maj-Gen Sir John Potter. in Leeds last week, after it had been proved to the Commissioners that the objectors Samuel Morgan Ltd would not be affected by passenger abstraction if the licenet were approved.

Advanced Luxury Coaches, was seekinE authority to operate a six-day week service Sunday excluded, between Fish Lake ant Rawcliffc, running exclusively foi employees of the Lin Pac factory.

The objection by Samuel Morgan Ltd stage carriage operator, had been lodged or the grounds that if the application wa: granted Samuel Morgan Ltd would loose certain number of passengers as one of it stage carriage services, Doncaster t Rawcliffe Bridge, covered part of th proposed express service route.

However, the Commissioners decided to grant the application after hearing the Advanced Luxury Coaches had for som time been operating the service of privet hire to the Lin Pac factory. But because th factory wished to cut down the expenses c hiring a coach, it was necessary the Advanced Luxury Coaches acquired a roa service licence in order that a suitable far could be charged. It was also pointed out t the Commissioners that although Satrap Morgan operated the service to Rawclifl Bridge, this was still at least half-a-mil away from the factory.
