Frank Ellis has joined Pitt Trailers Ltd, Wigan. as area manager for Essex, Herts, and Middlesex, from Arlington Motor Co Ltd, Ponders End, Pitt having decided to extend its activities in London and the South. Dennis Radford, 35, 10 years in the trailer industry, becomes area manager for Norfolk. Suffolk and Cambridge.
A. V. Driver has been appointed to the new position of general manager industrial. ShellMex and BP Ltd. Mr Driver's responsibilities now include the industrial, commercial automotive, domestic, agricultural and LPG markets. He is succeeded as manager, industrial markets division, by T. Marsden, who was previously manager, industrial and automotive fuels.
Geoffrey R. Hallwell has been appointed general manager of the four company divisions, six branch offices and the subsidiary companies of White and Co Ltd. Portsmouth. Mr Halliwell, who will be based at White's new international services complex at Botley. recently negotiated his company's entry into CETI, the Swiss-based consortium of overseas removers., Christopher G. Aspinall has been appointed a TI Transport Equipment Services Ltd national accounts manager, responsible for "package" sales promotion of equipment from Crypton, Bradbury and V. L. Churchill, member companies of Tube Investment's machine tools division. John Nelson becomes commercial manager, liaising with the three manufacturing companies; •and Jack A. Doyle a product development Manager, responsible for providing vehicle manufacturers with information on the availability of TI transport service equipment.
R. F. Bryant has joined the board of AE Auto Parts Ltd, a member of the Associated Engineering Group, in the new appointment of director of operations.
H. Lionel Storrs, managing director of Port of Liverpool Stevedoring Co Ltd, has announced his intention to resign as chairman of Liverpool Chamber of Commerce's transport committee before the end of the current year. William Kirkland, 37, has been appointed chief engineer to SELNEC Passenger Transport Executive. Mr Kirkland commenced his career with Manchester Corporation's transport department. He moved to Simon Carves Ltd as a design draughtsman in the power plant department and subsequently joined AEI progressing from method study engineer to development engineer for the AEI switchgear factories in Trafford Park; his next post was assistant head of manufacture. Mr Kirkland took up his appointment with SELNEC PTE following 2; years as general manager of a company within the Truscon Group.

R. E. W. Picton, director of commercial vehicle sales for L. F. Dove (C.V.) Ltd, has taken the additional post of branch general manager, 8 Imperial Way, Croydon Airport. D. W., Smart has been appointed service manager designate to take over from E. J. Marsh when he retires on December 31; P. Scanlon becomes works controller and will deal with inquiries on the progress of lorries and other work through the workshop; and B. Attfield has joined the reception department from the workshop.
David Longridge, who since 1969 has been acting as financial controller of the International Division of Avis, has resumed his position as managing director of Avis Rent A Car Ltd.
Arthur Turner, 47, has moved from London Country Bus Services' senior instructor at the company's Northfleet training centre to chief inspector, Windsor and Staines garages, responsible for the operation of more than 90 buses and Green Line coaches.

J. K. Colley has been appointed chairman of Crompton Leyland Electricars Ltd in succession to C. J. W. Scott who recenty retired from executive duties with Crompton Parkinson Ltd.
