• Three further centres of the National Guild of Transport Managers are to be inaugurated next month—making a total of 15—and another six are expected to be active before the end of the year.
On October 1 a meeting will be held in Hull at the Spring Bank Hotel to which transport managers throughout south-east Yorkshire have been invited and this will be followed on October 15 by the inauguration of a Teesside Centre at the Queen's Hotel, Stockton-on-Tees.
The Kendal Hotel at Kendal is the venue for the third meeting. on October 27, when a centre will be formed to cater for managers working in the Cumberland / Westmorland /Furness districts.
In addition to these, plans are being made for the early formation of centres in Swansea. Derby. Coventry. Manchester, North Lincolnshire and Bedford areas. Further details can be obtained from the General Secretary of the Guild at 53 Hainton Avenue. Grimsby (tel: 57771).
