Jnder this system the top hinged shelf is dropped for the ding of glass plates which are higher than the vehicle's roof Poles (which have adjustable, felted discs against the face he plates) can be placed in any one of five positions, secured socket S on the shelf by spring-loaded pegs; the correct ree of tension is manually applied by the operator.

It is claimed that using this system a secure load is obtained, and that the job of loaders is made easier and safer as securing can be effected at ground level instead of from the top of a vehicle.
